If you're reading
this and are like most people who read EverQuest guild
sites, you probably visit quite a few of them. Lots
of guilds are time enabled now, and the pages are
thick with screenshots of the zone, the loot, and
something else....whining. It's near impossible to
look at EQ sites lately without seeing some form of
bitching or complaining about the Plane of Time.
"It's so buggy!"
"It's Unoriginal!"
"The ending sux0rz!"
"The Plane of time loot isn't good enough!"
All of these sites
forget to mention one thing...The Plane of Time is
fun. It's adrenaline pumping, clock-watching,
nail-biting, refusing-to-blink-so-you-don't-miss-anything
FUN. And fun is something that's been missing in this
game for awhile. Sure, killing Rallos Zek was fun.
Killing Xegony, Fennin, Coirnav, The Rathe Council...that
was all fun. But they've got nothing on the Plane
of Time. This is the kind of fun you felt when you
were level 17 and ran from Qeynos to Freeport. It's
the fun you felt the first time you saw Vox or Nagafen.
It's what EQ is all about. Some of you might be thinking
I'm crazy. How could I enjoy doing the same 5 trials
every single day, relying on every member to be focused
and on top of their game? How can I smile everytime
the guild gets their collective asses handed to them
and sent to their bind spot because we tried something
new and it didn't quite work? Maybe I am crazy, but
I've got a guild of Crazy people here with me...and
we're having fun.
We finally made it
past Stage 3 late Friday night. This was our 5th day
raiding time in total. Stage 3 is frustrating, but
a rush regardless. Like everything else so far, it's
all about teamwork. From the initial lemming-drop
to the final pulse-pounding seconds. After it was
beaten it was a bit late to fool around with any of
Stage 4, so we called it a night and got some sleep
for Saturday.
Saturday morning came,
and we flew through to stage 4 extremely quickly. There,
we found Saryrn, Terris Thule,
Vallon Zek, and Tallon Zek.
We decided to try Saryrn first, since nobody anywhere
enjoys the Plane of Torment. After fooling around with
her a bit, we gave her a go, and she gave us all a severe
beating. Our attempts continued...70%....52%....37%...Dead.
Our first Plane of Time god had been slain on only our
Sixth day in the zone.

Next was Terris
Thule...

We went into this fight
the first time and got her to a meager 70%. A few had
to camp at that point, which brought our numbers into
the mid 50's, but we decided to try again. With a few
group mods, and some strategy changes, we got her to
a disappointing 6%. Too late for another attempt, we
put her off for the next day and camped. Sunday afternoon,
on our first attempt of the day, Terris was slain flawlessly.
Way to go guys.

Besides the Plane
of Time, we've been terrorizing any elemental targets
we can find up. We've caught Xegony and Fennin up once
each, as well as almost every mini in each plane.
